Mary Ann Vega (mav)

mav, MA, MAIS a righteous-rage-motivated educator, writer, and activist. Their sociological, disability studies, & women & gender studies background provides a well of knowledge to pull from to analyze social problems and determine solutions. mav doesn't believe in knowledge for knowledge's sake and uses their education to try and make substantive change for the better. This belief doesn’t make grad school any easier, but they are getting their PhD to maximize their ability to positively change the world. mav believes social wellness comes from fixing the mistakes of the past to provide a better future.

Grant McCandless

Grant McCandless is a researcher and project manager for The Social Wellness Institute. His contributions to Wellvyl Media draw from his 25 years of experience and education in economics, nonprofit leadership, and religious studies. Based in Las Vegas, Grant is the CEO of Social Impact Consultants and the former Director of Research for RCG Economics. A subject matter expert in Balanced Scorecard performance measurement, Grant has done strategic planning for nonprofits as large as Habitat for Humanity International. Before moving to Nevada he earned a Master of Business Administration from Emory University, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and studied nonprofit leadership at Harvard.
