X - A POEM

X

I am running at you

with flower stems and tiger stripes

trailing sugar along the rim of the way.

With a sweet sip we dance,

throw our hands up and revel.

We are colliding to stack up our light

and lines.

In the silver, we recite vivas

and sound our days to sing out

to new growth.
