Being in and maintaining a long-term relationship can be very very stressful to the point where you want to either pull your hair out or punch your partner in the face. Either way, neither choice will have a good end result. It can also result into one of you giving your all to that relationship and losing yourself along the way. We have all been in that situation, where our insecurities takeover, and  we asked those questions; “Is he/she happy?”, “Am I doing this right?”, “Does he/she still love me after all of these years?”. These questions can make us go crazy. We want to make sure everything is perfect and in doing so we forget to take a step back and recognize that we have made ourselves happy as well. Although it may sound easier said than done, there are ways to make sure that you are true to yourself while making your partner happy and keeping your relationship stay afloat.

In a relationship communication is key. It makes everything run smoothly within the relationship. Whether the conversation is good, bad, or ugly, it is always good to express how you feel to your partner.

It’s a must to always find an even playing ground that satisfies both of your wants and needs without getting angry or upset.

Although you are in a relationship doesn’t mean that you have to be under each other all the time. It is always good to give each other some breathing room so that you both can miss each other when y’all come back to each other.

Support Each Other

Having and showing support for each other EQUALLY is a huge factor in any relationship. It’s always good to have your own personal support system to cheer you on when one of you may not feel at your best.

Trust Each Other

If you don’t have trust in a relationship then you don’t have anything.

Have Intimacy

Being intimate with your partner is also very important. Not only are you pleasuring your partner but you are also pleasuring yourself. It’s a win/win situation.

Keep Your Relationship Private

It is always an issue when you let other people in your relationship. Those on the outside looking in will only see the bad things and will always have their opinion about your relationship. If you listen to what they say then you may miss out on being with and staying with someone great. Keeping everyone out will definitely keep you happy.

Remember these simple points and you and your partner will be happy and your relationship will last.
