MEET YOU AT THE DISCO - POEM
MEET YOU AT THE DISCO - POEM
Like a horned and cloaked actor,
the whining beast
melts his face in a
royal sweat
His wooden sword
points broken at the hoof
of another lover trapped
under a ruby stiletto
Such modern wailing
twangs this party steam
where we cough up
hair, oil, salts
Smoke and rain
from the candlestick
from the elbow grease
from the sewer grate
and meat claws
that bop me on the forehead
With yellow eyes
we reach center.
